Meet Adela Raffa

My office

My office

Hello and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

My passion and purpose is helping you make powerful, positive change. I started with myself and now I’m equipped and able to help others embark on their transformational journey. This is a short version of my story…

After 20+ years in Corporate America, and as a divorced single parent with unfinished emotional baggage, I felt stuck, stagnant and overwhelmed. I wanted to believe there was more to life and embarked on a personal development quest that completely changed my life.

I tried everything...from Cognitive and Jungian therapy to experimental counseling, I studied various spiritual beliefs, enrolled in every workshops I could find and even processed deep inner child work. I felt like Alice in Wonderland falling through the rabbit hole…a whole new world emerged, an inner landscape where I found the missing piece: myself.

Eventually, I landed at The Gestalt Institute of Atlanta where I spent several years as Director, Gestalt Practitioner and NLP trainer before venturing out on my own.

Now I am here, a teacher, trainer, speaker, workshop facilitator, healer & practitioner... I love guiding people on their transformational journey, whether individually or in groups. The tools and techniques I teach are ones that I have experienced or witnessed myself.

My credentials include Certified Gestalt Therapy Practitioner, Certified Master NLP Practitioner & NLP Practitioner, Registered Business Coach, Sacred Healing Minister, Usui Reiki Master, and I hold a degree in Human Services & Social Work. The style I use is a unique combination of the above modalities, mixed with a dash of mindfulness, a pinch of spirituality and a healthy dose of intuition.

As a life-long learner, I spend much of my time on personal development, writing and being active in the community. Growing up in Sweden with Croatian roots served me well; I’m multi-cultural with expanded view points and speak several languages, including body-language (my super power).

My Approach & Process

When we first meet we’ll start with a simple, yet effective 4 step process:

  1. Identify where you are now. This is where you take “inventory” of all aspects of your life; mind, body, spirit & emotions.

  2. Decide where you want to be. What do you want? Let’s determine your desired outcomes.

  3. Uncover your compelling reason why. You must have a reason to move…Let’s find your motivation and drive!

  4. Execute how to get there. This is where you’ll take action steps with the correct tools, the strategy and empowerment to create change. I’ll be next to you as your guide, confidant, cheerleader and accountability partner.

Every session is customized to where you currently are in life. Some sessions are more experiential work, less talk. Other sessions we’ll use my empty chair or white board to help you visualize and gain new awareness about how patterns etc. In short, there is no exact formula that I use, because each person is unique with specific needs.

Working with Adela has been life changing. When I came to her, I was walking around with so much anger and sadness inside of me, that it was pouring out of me in ways that were damaging to my life and my family. I have been seeing her every week for just over a month and I have already seen rapid improvement in my life. I come away from each session with another nugget of information, another lesson, and I see my life improve. I am incredibly excited for further sessions with her and I highly recommend her to anyone who is seeking help.
